Privacy notice

Fosthera Editora respects your privacy. This notice transparently describes which personal data we process, for what purpose, on what legal basis, with whom we share it and what your rights are, in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018 — LGPD).

1. Who is the controller

The data controller is Fosthera Editora — CNPJ 41.962.454/0001-20, responsible for deciding how and why your data is processed.

3. What data we collect

• Newsletter: email, chosen language, date and origin of consent.
• Contact: when you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we process the data you provide (e.g., name, contact and message content) to reply and, where applicable, prepare a proposal.
• Technical data: for security and operation, the server may temporarily log access data (such as IP address and browser type). For the newsletter, the IP is used only ephemerally to limit abuse and is not stored alongside your email.

We do not collect sensitive data nor make automated decisions with legal effects on you.

4. Why we use it and on what legal basis

• Sending editorial news and newsletter communications — legal basis: consent.
• Responding to inquiries and preparing proposals or contracts — legal basis: pre-contract steps and performance of a contract at your request.
• Ensuring site security and preventing abuse and fraud — legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Complying with legal and regulatory obligations, where applicable — legal basis: legal obligation.

5. Sharing and processors

We do not sell your data. We share only what is necessary with providers acting as processors, under our instructions and a contract:

• Brevo (Sendinblue) — newsletter list management and email delivery.
• Hostinger — hosting of the website and forms.

Typographic fonts are self-hosted on our own domain, with no third-party requests to display them.

6. International transfer

Some processors may handle data on servers outside Brazil. In such cases, we seek to ensure the transfer occurs with adequate safeguards, in accordance with the LGPD.

7. Cookies

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies and does not install invasive analytics. Essential features may use storage strictly necessary for the page to work.

8. How long we keep it

The local operational copy of newsletter leads is kept for up to 180 days; your subscription on the platform remains for as long as you wish to receive it. Contact and project data are kept for as long as necessary for the purpose and applicable legal periods.

9. Security

We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as HTTPS across the site, credentials kept out of the source code, and lead storage outside the server’s public area.

10. Your rights

Under Article 18 of the LGPD, you may at any time and free of charge request:

• confirmation that processing exists;
• access to your data;
• correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
• anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or non-compliant data;
• portability to another provider;
• deletion of data processed on the basis of consent;
• information about with whom we share your data;
• information about the option not to consent and its consequences;
• withdrawal of consent and objection to processing.

11. Children

Our services and communications are directed at adults (18+) and we do not knowingly collect data from children or teenagers.

12. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice to reflect changes in our operations or the law. The date at the top indicates the current version; significant changes will be flagged on this page.
