What is ghostwriting and how it works

· Fosthera Editora

Ghostwriting is the service in which a professional writes a text that will be published under someone else’s name. In publishing it is an old and legitimate practice: many books by experts, leaders and professionals who lack the time — or don’t consider themselves writers — are born this way.

How it works, step by step

At Fosthera the process is led by publishing professionals and happens in four moments: conversation and interviews to capture your voice and ideas; a draft, when we give the text its shape; your review, where you validate every passage; and the delivery of material ready for editing and publication.

Authorship and rights

A common question is: whose book is it? The answer is clear in the agreement. Credit, confidentiality and economic rights are defined transparently in each project — usually, authorship and rights stay with you.

Ethical limits

Legitimate ghostwriting is not academic fraud. We write books, memoirs, thesis-to-book adaptations, articles and essays — but we do not produce work for fraudulent submission. And support tools never replace human editorial responsibility or your validation.
